No feature artist this week, just a whole bunch of great new Americana. I started with Steve Earle's new disc Townes since he made it to the top of the Americana Charts this week with it. I was also happy to see Todd Snider debut on the charts at #18. His new disc "The Excitement Plan" was the most added album on the charts last week.
Another new CD this week that caught my attention was Grant Peeples Pawnshop. His biography says that he has been around the music industry for years, but only in the last two years has he recorded any of his own songs. Pawnshop is Grant's second recording and first full length CD. He calls it Americana all the way through. Great songs done in a down to earth style with stories of real people.
