Routes & Branches 9/24/16

Today I played some folks who were honored this week at the Americana awards even though I missed watching it due to real life. I also had local musician Chico Schwall along with George Mann in the studio to support their performance tonight at the Labor Music Festival.
Coming up this next week I'm looking forward to seeing the Drive-By Truckers in Portland. I don't have their new CD yet... Look for it next week.

Routes & Branches 9/17/2016

My wife and I attended the Sisters Folk Festival last weekend and what a great festival it is!
I enjoyed seeing several of my favorite groups and for connecting with artists like Max Gomez and Nora Jane Struthers along with her husband Joe Overton. This was the beginning of my show this week which then went into some new music to the station and an interview with local artist Jake McNeillie and Company in support of their new CD "Delirium" (A Southern Gothic Fable).
I finished up the show featuring artists who have been nominated for various awards at the Americana Music Awards this week. Good Luck to all the nominees. I'll feature the winners on my show next week.
